Aaron Gardner, MD

Aaron is a Pediatric Intensivist, President, and Chief Medical Officer at Just 4 Kids Health in Southeast Idaho, which he founded in 2018. Prior to that, he worked as an intensivist in the Pediatric ICU at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He completed his Pediatric Critical Care training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and his Pediatric residency and chief residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock. Aaron holds a master’s degree in Disaster Medicine from Università del Piemonte Orientale and Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He earned his medical doctorate from St. George’s University and his undergraduate degree in Sociology from Brigham Young University.

His professional and research activities focus on pediatric disaster medicine and healthcare preparedness. Aaron serves as a Medical Officer with the Department of Health and Human Services’ ASPR Incident Management Team, and he has deployed to numerous domestic and international disasters.

He previously served on the Executive Committee for the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Disaster Preparedness and Recovery. He currently serves on the Board of Health at Eastern Idaho Public Health and as a Medical Director for the Madison Fire Department.

In addition, Aaron has worked as an independent contractor for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on pediatric radiation medical countermeasures, as a critical care aeromedical transport physician, as an emergency medical technician in various capacities, and as an American Sign Language interpreter.

Aaron is happily married to his wife Amy and has four children. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, backpacking, and traveling with his family.
