Benjamin Woods, MD

Benjamin Woods, MD is an emergency medicine physician at Madison Memorial Hospital, where he cares for patients facing a wide range of illnesses and injuries. He values providing calm, compassionate care during some of life’s most stressful moments and is dedicated to helping patients receive the treatment they need when it matters most.

Dr. Woods earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Utah State University before completing a Master of Science in Endocrinology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Utah School of Medicine, completed a surgical internship at the University of South Dakota, and finished his residency in family medicine at Mercy Family Medicine. His diverse training provides a strong foundation for caring for patients with a broad range of medical conditions in the emergency department.

When he’s not at the hospital, Dr. Woods enjoys making memories with his family, whether that’s trying out a new recipe in the kitchen or heading outside for the next adventure. An avid hiker and skier, he feels most at home in the mountains and on the river, where he enjoys recharging and spending time in nature.
