Dawn R. Wanfalt, ARNP, NNP-BC

Dawn Wanfalt, ARNP, NNP-BC, provides specialized care for premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU at Madison Memorial Hospital. With a nursing career that began in 1991 and experience as a neonatal nurse practitioner since 2006, Dawn brings extensive knowledge and a steady, compassionate presence to infants and their families.

Dawn earned both her nursing degree and master’s degree from the University of Iowa. She is board-certified through the National Certification Corporation (NCC). Her approach follows the American Academy of Pediatrics’ standards of care while allowing for personalized adjustments based on each infant’s unique needs and the valuable input of their parents.

Outside the hospital, Dawn is the mother of two grown sons and enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves being outdoors, whether she is biking, hiking, kayaking, camping, or riding horses.
