Jacob Kimball Curtis, DO
Dr. Jacob K. Curtis is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with a specialty in Obstetrics. He proudly serves the communities of Rexburg and Idaho Falls, Idaho. He currently holds dual leadership roles as the Chief of Staff Elect for Madison Health and Chief Medical Officer for Grand Peaks Medical.
A graduate of A.T. Still University of Health Sciences, Dr. Curtis completed his Family Medicine residency at Southern Illinois University and completed an Obstetrics fellowship at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, affiliated with the University of Notre Dame. Since beginning his medical career in 2008, he has been committed to delivering full-scope family medicine, with a special emphasis on obstetrics—including performing C-sections—and cherishes the opportunity to care for the newborns he delivers.
Dr. Curtis believes in treating every patient as he would a member of his own family, a principle deeply rooted in the legacy of his father, a rural family physician in Teton Valley. “I want every patient to feel heard and cared for—as if they were my own family because they are.”
He has been practicing in Rexburg since 2016, where he and his wife are raising their five daughters, two of whom are still at home. Outside of medicine, Dr. Curtis enjoys snowboarding, wake surfing, camping, traveling, and actively serving in his church and local community.
