Jeffrey D. Hancock, MD
Jeffrey D. Hancock, MD, is a pediatric hematologist and oncologist and serves as Medical Director of Teton Cancer Institute. Since 2007 he has cared for children, young adults, and adults facing cancer and blood disorders. A Rexburg native, Dr. Hancock has always hoped to provide patients throughout Southeastern Idaho with exceptional specialty care close to home.
Dr. Hancock believes the best care begins by listening. He values learning from patients and their families so they can work together to understand each medical challenge, identify the best tools available, and help the patient feel better throughout treatment.
A Presidential Scholar, Dr. Hancock graduated with high honors from Ricks College with an Associate of Arts and Sciences. He then earned a Bachelor of Science as a University Scholar at Brigham Young University. He received his medical degree with honors from the University of Utah, completed his residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and returned to the University of Utah for his fellowship. He is board-certified in pediatric hematology and oncology.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hancock enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors as often as possible. Some of his favorite activities include hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing.
