Michael B. Karren, CRNA
Michael Karren, CRNA, knows that no two patients experience surgery in quite the same way. He takes time to understand each patient’s concerns and tailors their anesthesia plan to meet their individual needs. He is especially focused on reducing pain, limiting narcotic use, and preventing postoperative nausea so patients can recover as comfortably as possible.
Michael works with Madison Anesthesia Services, which partners with Madisonhealth to provide anesthesia care at Madison Memorial Hospital and Madison Surgery Center. He cares for patients undergoing surgical procedures and supports mothers during labor and delivery. His experience includes general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and sedation, with particular interests in regional nerve blocks and pediatric anesthesia.
Michael graduated from the Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia in Nashville and began practicing as a certified registered nurse anesthetist in 2009. He has cared for patients in Rexburg since 2011.
A native of Rigby, Michael has deep roots in eastern Idaho. His wife, Jenna, grew up in Ririe, and together they have three children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, biking, hiking, hunting, and traveling.
