Robert Louis Coray, MD
Robert L. Coray, MD, FACS, is a general surgeon who performs procedures at Madisonhealth Madison Memorial Hospital and Madison Surgery Center. His broad surgical experience includes general, vascular, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted surgery.
Dr. Coray earned his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Idaho State University before attending the University of Utah School of Medicine. He completed a five-year general surgery residency in Springfield, Illinois, where he received additional training in vascular, thoracic, laparoscopic, and cosmetic surgery.
His clinical experience includes hernia repair, gallbladder surgery, intestinal and colorectal procedures, upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, and surgical treatment of breast, thyroid, and colon cancers. He also performs vascular procedures and uses minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques when appropriate, including procedures for gallbladder disease, hernias, acid reflux, and certain intestinal conditions.
Originally from Pocatello, Dr. Coray values the opportunity to care for patients throughout eastern Idaho and help them understand their conditions and surgical options.
Dr. Coray and his wife, Julie, have five children. Together, they enjoy spending time outdoors and participating in community activities.
