Tylan Magnusson, MD
Dr. Tylan Magnussen earned his undergraduate and master’s degrees from Brigham Young University, followed by his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed his residency and fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at the University of Alabama, where he developed a strong foundation in the comprehensive care of patients with both malignant and non-malignant blood disorders and cancers.
Dr. Magnussen is deeply committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. He values the opportunity to support patients and their families through every stage of treatment, and is passionate about building lasting relationships grounded in trust, respect, and collaboration. He brings a broad clinical perspective and a thoughtful, personalized approach to both hematology and oncology care.
Raised in a military family, Dr. Magnussen lived in a variety of locations across the United States and internationally. These experiences shaped his adaptable, community-oriented mindset and deep appreciation for the diverse people he serves.
Dr. Magnussen and his wife, along with their four children, are excited to make Idaho their home. Drawn by the state’s natural beauty, close-knit communities, and strong family values, they look forward to becoming part of the local community. In addition to being closer to extended family, they are eager to enjoy Idaho’s outdoor lifestyle and raise their children in a setting that offers both exceptional quality of life and meaningful connection. Outside of medicine, Dr. Magnussen enjoys gardening, exercising, 3D printing, and spending time with his family.
