Season Pediatrics

At Seasons Pediatrics, we work closely with the community in providing expert pediatric care to patients of Rexburg and the Upper Valley area.

Our providers take time to work one-on-one with families to ensure children get complete, comprehensive care. Parents are always included in the process, and can rest assured that we will be available 24 hours a day for your kids.

Why choose a Pediatrician?

Finding a healthcare provider equally matched to the health challenges children face can seem overwhelming, however, with a Board Certified Pediatrician parents can experience greater peace of mind when it comes to caring for their children’s physical, mental, and emotional health needs.

Pediatricians are unique in that they not only complete four years of medical school, but they also receive an additional three years of specialty training in caring for children and adolescents.

This training and development centers on the treatment of childhood illnesses and diseases, but also on prevention and early detection methods as well as behavioral, developmental, and functional social problems children face as they grow from infancy to adulthood.

What this translates to for parents is confidence and satisfaction when it comes to the health and well-being of their children.

With this training, pediatricians are in a rare position in offering complete anticipatory guidance to parents about the health and well-being of their children. Navigating the challenges of infectious diseases, healthy lifestyles, and other acute or chronic conditions children face can be overwhelming, but with the expertise of a pediatrician it doesn’t have to be that way.

What to expect during your child’s first year of life

During the first year of a child’s life parents will visit with their pediatrician more frequently than at other times. An infant’s first exam will happen shortly after they are born, with monthly visits up until the child’s first birthday. Having said that, frequency of visits may change based upon a child’s individual health needs.

As a general guideline, here are a few things to expect during a child’s first visit with a pediatrician:

  • Administer immunizations
  • Measure baby’s height, weight and head circumference
  • Evaluate baby’s vision and hearing
  • Evaluate baby’s physical, motor, and cognitive development
  • Discuss baby’s diet and sleeping habits
  • Ask parents about any special concerns they may have
