Dr. Hardy, the youngest of six children, was raised in Brigham City, Utah. He served as an LDS missionary in Japan prior to attending college, where he majored in psychology and learned sign language. Dr. Hardy attended medical school at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He did an internship at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and a family practice residency at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton Ohio.
