Dr. James Morris, MD graduated with a Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University- Idaho and earned his medical degree from the University of Utah. He is currently a psychiatry resident at the University of Utah. He is an advocate for community-based mental healthcare and has had an interest in community psychiatry and substance use disorders. One of the projects he is currently working on is with the University of Utah and Idaho State University to establish a psychiatry training program in Southeastern Idaho in hopes of bringing more mental health providers to the area. He met his wife while at BYU-Idaho. They have 4 children. Apart from work, he enjoys spending time playing sports, playing with RC cars/boats, camping, fishing, running, biking, hiking, and having fun with his family.
