In Case You Missed Last Weeks Class- Here’s what was discussed
“Probiotics”
Probiotics are live bacteria to help with digestion. They are found naturally in our bodies, in different foods such as yogurt or other foods that have a seal that says “Contains live and active cultures.” You can also get probiotics through supplements. They cost anywhere between $7 & 25. Probiotics help with digestion, lactose intolerance, diarrhea, respiratory problems, eczema, and can reduce the impact of cold symptoms. They also may improve immunity and reduce the severity of allergies.
Here’s a recipe for a smoothie that is full of probiotics–
½ cup Kefir drink
1 ½ cup almond or soy milk
½ Activia Greek yogurt
1 ½ cups frozen berries (straw, blue, rasp)
1 small banana frozen
1 cup baby spinach (stems removed)
½ cup ice
Blend all ingredients together until smooth. To thicken, add more fruit or ice or less milk.
