Madison Memorial ADDs Breakthrough MRI Scanner Madison Memorial Hospital adds breakthrough MR scanner to boost image clarity, exam speed, and patient comfort Rexburg, Idaho, Madison Memorial Hospital today confirmed that the “Go Live” date for their new MRI scanner will be June 3, 2013. Patients and physicians will now have access to the first-ever digital broadband magnetic resonance imaging system: the Ingenia 1.5T from Philips Healthcare. According to hospital spokesman Doug McBride, “This is the first to be implemented in southeastern Idaho. There are currently only 2 other units in Idaho, both based in Boise.” This revolutionary machine is designed to quickly perform high-quality MR scans with a high level of patient comfort. It can significantly reduce exam time and has a wide opening to accommodate patients of varying size, age, and physical condition. This makes it less confining due to a larger 70cm bore rather than the previous 60cm opening. ...
