Madison Memorial Wellness Spotlight
Madison Memorial has loved sponsoring the Mesa Falls Marathon, and it’s community efforts witave and his team. His passion for wellness and his dedication to staying active is inspiring. A team from Madison Memorial has frequently been running in this event, and another team has helped set up the course. At times, Madison Memorial has even provided aid stations. Dave’s love of running is contagious, and many of the Madison Memorial teams have shared this passion. August 22nd – 2016 
Come Run or Volunteer with Mark Shields, a Best Selling Author as he battles cancer, and runs this marathon between treatments. Below is a message he sent us: “I just want to drop you a line and let you know how much I’m looking forward to this race. I am a stage four cancer patient. I have been able to run two marathons since my diagnosis four years ago by working them in between treatment rounds. The last treatment started just after Boston last year and left me absolutely decimated and even wishing I could hurry up and die. One hope kept me going in particular: I kept telling myself that if I could run another marathon after this absolutely horrible treatment, it would be the biggest comeback yet. Well, the treatment finally wore off at the end of March. In just a few weeks, I have every intention of making Mesa Falls the perfect comeback. It will not be my fastest time. Like, not at all. But I think it will be the perfect place to take in the beauty of God’s creations and celebrate the fact that I’m still alive. Can’t wait!”

Ryan & Sara Hall, America’s Fastest Husband and Wife Team, will also join us at this event!
Join us @ Snake River Landing in Idaho Falls as Ryan Hall speaks about his amazing running career and provides advice for all abilities. Ryan will take the stage from 5:30-6 P.M. followed by a Teton Toyota BBCUE and meet-n-greet with the Hall’s at Bills Bike and Run. Come participate for free and meet these two great athletes! BBCUE will be $5 with 100% going to the Hall’s STEPS foundation.
